Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the Kiwi Guide mobile application, provided by Black Sands Digital ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Kiwi Guide is a location-based travel guide. The app is currently free to download and use, and contains no in-app purchases.

2. Future Paid Features

We may introduce optional paid content or features in the future. Any such purchase would be processed and billed by Apple through the App Store, and these terms will be updated to describe it before it becomes available.

3. Accuracy of Content

Location information, opening hours, prices, and other details are provided as a guide and may change without notice. We do not guarantee the accuracy of third-party details such as pricing or operating hours, and are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on them.

4. Location and Safety

If you allow it, Kiwi Guide uses your device's location to show places near you and how far away they are. Distances, drive times and directions are estimates. Roads, weather and conditions in New Zealand can change quickly, so check official road and weather updates before you set out. You are responsible for your own safety while using the app, including while driving, walking or exploring any place it suggests. Don't use the app while you're driving.

5. User Content

Reviews and ratings you submit may be displayed publicly to other users within the app. You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a licence to display it as part of the service. We may remove content that violates our community standards.

6. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time via the settings menu. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these terms.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
